Eligibility & Schemes

Pakistani nationals living abroad, including dual nationals, are eligible to import vehicles under the following schemes:

Personal Baggage: For those returning to Pakistan.
Gift Scheme: Gifting a vehicle to a family member in Pakistan.
Transfer of Residence: For those permanently moving back to Pakistan.

Vehicle Age Limit

Cars: Must be no older than 3 years.
Other Vehicles: Must be no older than 5 years.
Motorcycles & Scooters: Allowed only under the Transfer of Residence scheme.

Exclusions

Students and non-earning members living abroad.
Individuals who have imported or received a vehicle in the past 2 years.

Duty & Taxes (for Asian makes)

Up to 800 cc: $4,800
801 – 1000 cc: $6,000
1001 – 1300 cc: $13,200
1301 – 1500 cc: $18,590
1501 – 1600 cc: $22,550
1601 – 1800 cc (except Jeeps): $27,940

Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) Exemptions

Up to 1800 cc: 50% exemption.
1800 – 2500 cc: 25% exemption.

Additional Notes

Depreciation: A 1% per month depreciation allowance is available based on the vehicle's age.
New Vehicles: Can be imported freely by anyone upon payment of applicable duties and taxes.
