General Information & Import Rules

• • Inspection Requirements: All imported vehicles must undergo both a mandatory Technical Inspection and a Customs Inspection.
• • Registration: These inspections are strictly required before a vehicle can be legally registered with Danish number plates.
• • Drive Orientation: Left-hand drive (LHD) vehicles are standard in Denmark.

Shipping & Logistics

• • Destination Port: Frederikshavn.
• • Shipment Details: Approximately 26–36 days via RORO.
• • Vessel Schedule: Monthly frequency.
• • Shipping Line: UAA Denmark.

Duties & Taxes

• • Customs Duty: 10% standard rate for imported vehicles.
• • VAT: 25% (calculated on the combined vehicle price and freight costs).
• • Registration Tax: A one-time tax paid during the vehicle’s lifetime in Denmark.

Required Documentation

• • Official Technical and Customs Inspection Forms.
• • Foreign Registration Certificate from the country of origin.
• • Proof of Customs Duty Payment (mandatory for non-EU imports).
• • Application for Registration Tax payment and the required deposit.
