Import Conditions

• • Drive type: Only right-hand drive vehicles are allowed.
• • Exceptions: Special vehicles such as ambulances or fire engines.
• • Age restriction: No age limit on used vehicles.
• • Inspection: No specific roadworthiness inspection is required.

Shipping & Logistics

• • Destination port: Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania).
• • Shipping method: RORO, approximately 24–34 days.
• • Vessel schedule: Monthly.
• • Container option: Available on request (typically more expensive).

Duties & Taxes

• • Up to 2000 cc, under 10 seats: 25% / 15% / 16.5%
• • 2000–2500 cc, under 10 seats: 25% / 16.5% / 30%
• • 2500–3000 cc, under 10 seats: 25% / 40% / 16.5%
• • Over 3000 cc, under 10 seats: 25% / 50% / 16.5%
• • Minibus (more than 10 seats): 25% / Nil / 16.5%
• • Trucks under 3 ton: 10% / 5% / 16.5%
• • Trucks over 3 ton: 1.1% / 2.5% / Nil
• • Trucks over 10 ton: Nil / 1.5% / Nil

Required Documentation

• • Original commercial/purchase invoice.
• • Original certificate of title and registration.
• • Original bill of lading (must include chassis number, engine number, cubic capacity, year of manufacture, brand, and model).
• • Driver's license and international insurance policy (green card).
• • Copy of the client’s work contract.
