Customs Duties & Taxes
- • Customs duty: 5% of CIF (Cost + Insurance + Freight).
- • VAT: 10% on CIF + duty.
- • Other fees: Customs processing, vehicle inspection, and registration fees.
- • Exemptions: Diplomatic missions and eligible international organizations may get duty & VAT exemptions.
Clearance Notes
- • Bahrain has stable regulations administered by Bahrain Customs and General Directorate of Traffic.
- • Compliance inspections are mandatory before registration.
Required Documentation
- • Original Export/Deregistration Certificate.
- • Bill of Lading and Commercial Invoice.
- • Packing List.
- • Passport & CPR (for individuals).
- • Company CR & authorization (for businesses).
- • Vehicle VIN and Insurance certificate.
- • Customs declaration form.
