Transmission Type:

FA, AT, FAT, CAT - means the same thing - automatic transmission, different auctions use different cuts to identify the type of transmission. CVT relates to an automatic transmission
F5, M5, F6, M6 - manual transmissions, where numbers 5 and 6 are the numbers of gears

Q: Useful Trade Terms

FOB(Free on board)
In FOB terms, the seller delivers when the goods pass the ship’s rail at the named port of shipment. The buyer has to bear all the cost and risk of loss or damage to the goods from that point. (The seller only takes the responsibility to clear the goods for export). . FOB is only used for sea or inland waterway transport.

CIF (Cost Insurance and Freight)
In CIF, the seller delivers when the goods pass the ship’s rail in the port of shipment. The seller pays the cost and freight necessary to deliver the goods to the named port of destination and also procures marine insurance. The seller is only required to obtain minimum insurance coverage. However, the risk of loss or damage of the good and any additional costs due to events occurring after the time of delivery are transferred from the seller to the buyer. (The seller only takes the responsibility to clear the goods for export). CIF can only be used for sea and inland water way transport.
C&F (Cost and Freight)
The seller delivers when the goods pass the ship’s rail in the port of shipment. The seller pays the cost and freight necessary to deliver the goods to the named port of destination. Bill of Landing
A bill of landing is issued by a carrier as proof for receipt of goods and acts as a contract of carriage. Bill of lading describes the goods, details of intended voyage and specifies the conditions for transport.

Invoice
An invoice is a document sent by the seller to the buyer. The invoice contains a list of goods sold to the buyer. It shows the name and address of the buyer and a detailed description of the goods sold. It includes details of the product, quantity, price, delivery point, charges and other significant details of the transaction.
Pro-forma Invoice
A Pro-forma Invoice is the first draft of a seller’s bill to the buyer. It is a quotation sent from the seller to the buyer containing description of goods to be delivered. It includes the product details, quantity, value, buyers name and address, etc. Based on the Pro-forma invoice, the buyer decides whether to proceed on with the order.

Q: What are the "Consignee," "Notify Party" and "Documents Destination Address"? Who should I assign to these categories? Can I fill in the same information for all fields?

01. Consignee : Owner-to-be of the vehicle you purchased – stated on B/L

02. Notify Party: Person who receives the notice of ship's arrival – stated on B/L

03. Documents Destination Address: DHL/EMS address (this means your postal address for receiving documents ) (physical address)

Yes, the 3 categories can be the same person and address. All we need is correct information from you (full name, full address and phone number) at the time of payment.

Q: Which documents will I receive?

You receive the following documents:

Q: How long it will take for the car to arrive?

It depends on the area of shipment. It usually takes between 3 to 6 weeks, after your cargo leaves Japan. We can tell you more precisely when we know the port of destination. We make sure your car reaches you as fast as possible.

Q: How can I insure my shipment?

Insurance can be purchased upon your request during order process for extra charge. It gives you the opportunity to secure your shipment while at sea.

Q: What are your payment terms?

All payments must be made in either Japanese Yen or US Dollars by bank transfer.
Payments must be made within 2 business days from the INVOICE date.

Q: Which currencies do you work with?

We accept payments in either Japanese Yen or US Dollars

Q: Do you accept Credit Cards?

Q: How do I make payment?

We accept bank transfer payments and we accept letters of credit (L/C) from customers from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Q: Can I cancel the car I purchase by myself?

When a customer cancels his/her order, we may have to resell that car in auction or by any other way. As you cancel the purchase, you have to bear the difference of price and other costs that may occur.

Q: If I purchase a vehicle for $ 2,000, what other extra charges are there?

FOB and CIF price includes all the costs to get the car on the vessel and leaving the port. Once your vehicle arrives at your nearest port, you have to pay, compliance, registration, duty, taxes and freight collected and any other cost depending on the regulation in your region.

Q: Does your company staff inspect the cars before bidding?

We have highly professional staff that personally inspects the cars. Before they decide to bid, they ensure if they are of correct description and condition just according to auction information.

Q: Inspection key notes:

Body:

0, R, RA, A, 0.1, 0.2, 0A - the car had been in an accident and was fixed
1 - a car which had been in flooding, caught in hail or was highly modernized by the previous owner (e.g. transmission type was changed or the engine was replaced with one from another car model)
2 - the car is in poor condition
3 - the car has obvious dents and scratches, needs body repair. Maybe dirt and stains in the cabin, burn marks from cigarettes. Even in absence of these defects, a car gets the same grade if it has more than 150,000 km on the odometer.
3.5 - vehicle may have more than two small dents and scratches, the cabin has a few spots, possibly cigarette burns, scuff marks, and the floor may need additional cleaning
4 - good condition, less than two minor dents or scratches, clean interior, may need of a simple cleaning
4.5 - excellent condition, no obvious dents and scratches, clean interior
5 - almost new car
S, 6 - brand new car

Interior:

A - clean well kept interior with no defects
B - ordinary, normal quality interior, may require a little cleaning
C - dirty interior, can have cigarette burns, stains, torn upholstery or seat
D - the extremely poor condition of the cabin, trim elements may be missing. Almost beyond repair

Key notes on the inspection sheet:

A number after the letter indicates the degree of defect:
1 - mild, 2 - moderate, 3 - large, 4 - clear

A - scratch
U - peeling, pitting dent
B - dent with a scratch
W - strain, the repair (painting)
S - corrosion
C - rust
P - requires painting
H - hole
XX - the replaced item
X - needs to be replaced
G - fixed stone chip on glass
T - spare wheel present

Q: Is there any grading for cars and how can I know what the grading means?

All the cars are graded by various auction houses. You can see the meaning of every grade as listed below

Q: How do I get an idea of buying price for a vehicle I am interested in?

Please use the data of auctions held within the last 12 weeks. It is the best way

Q: How frequent are online auctions held?

Every day except Sundays and National Holidays.

Q: How many used vehicles are normally available in your stock and in auction?

Usually we have more than a thousand used cars in our regular stock. Moreover, you can have access to around 150,000 cars a week available at different online auctions we cover.

Q: Is there any checking of the vehicles before shipping?

All the vehicles are thoroughly checked to confirm if there is any major difference from the evaluation sheet.
